He is also Chairman of OITC group. His Excellency has played an active role in the establishment and development of various national insurance companies in Qatar. He also had a distinguished political career in ministerial and diplomatic levels at the UN and other international organizations

Mr. Al Kaabi is Chief Operation Officer of Al Sraiya Holding Group, he also sits as a Board Member for several Qatari organizations, including Doha Gulf Co. Sudan, Qatari Sudan Chamber, Islamic Business Entrepreneurs and Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Agriculture Environment Committee. He was part of the “Best CEO in the region” award published by Forbes in Dubai 2012 and Pioneer in Food Security in Arab Countries in Abu Dhabi 2012. Mr. Al Kaabi holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Qatar University.

Mr. Farid Chedid is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Chedid Capital Holding group of companies. He led the growth of Chedid Capital Holding as an investment Group in the insurance and reinsurance markets and set up companies in Cyprus, Greece, Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, Lebanon, Mauritius Islands, Morocco, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Turkey and UAE. The first Group company, Chedid Re, was established in 1998, and since then has expanded to become one of the top 20 reinsurance broking powerhouses in the world, with business emanating from more than 45 countries. He is the founder and Executive Board member of Seib Insurance Company, a major insurance company in Qatar, he serves as a member of the Board of City Brokers, the leading insurance broker in the Mauritius Islands and East Africa. As a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, he completed his undergraduate degree in economics, with two Masters’ degrees in management and finance and a post-graduated diploma in Maritime law; since 2008 and for five years in a row, he has been listed among the top 50 most powerful insurance industry leaders in the MENA and GCC region. He is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Networks (AGLN).

Mr. Baroudi’s international experience comes from the World Bank, IMF, European Commission, state-to-state protocols, USAID, Arab Fund for Social and Economic development, EximBank and, multilateral agency financing in the United States, Middle East, Central Asia, Japan and Europe. He has done extensive work in energy, development programs, economic prosperity and security, which tackled advance energy and economic growth related to Private Sector power development, electricity market unbundling gas market reform, political reform and deregulation, as well as extensive work on international oil and gas ventures and petroleum development. Occasionally, Mr. Baroudi is a lecturer on global energy and transportation affairs. He has contributed to regional and international journals, televisions, and magazines with different articles on energy and security matters, political, economic and climate change. He is also author and co-author on a number of books and reports regarding research activities in the energy field.

Mr. Ziyad Baroud is the former Minister of Interior and Municipalities (MoIM) of the Republic of Lebanon; he served in two consecutive cabinets, from July 2008 until June 2011. The MoIM was awarded under his leadership the 2010 United Nations Public Service Award First Prize. Mr. Baroud received a number of rewards including, “Commandeur de Numéro de l’Ordre Civil du Mérite” by the King of Spain, Juan Carlos, in July 2011; “Officier de la Légion d’Honneur” by the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, in October 2010; in 2009 he was awarded “Grand Officier de L’Ordre National du Mérite de la République Française”; and in 2007, he was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Prior to his appointment as Minister, Mr. Baroud held a number of positions among which: Member of the Lebanese National Commission on Electoral Law (2005-2006). In 2004, Mr. Baroud was elected Secretary General of the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections to lead a group of more than 1300 domestic electoral observers. He has also served as a board member for the Lebanese chapter of Transparency International since 2006. Additionally, Mr. Baroud is on the board of the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies and on the board of trustees of Notre Dame University. A court lawyer by practice and managing partner at HBD-T Law Firm, Ziyad Baroud held a number of academic posts as lecturer in two prestigious universities in Lebanon, Université Saint Joseph and Holy Spirit University Kaslik. Mr. Baroud has a number of publications on subjects related to local governance, decentralization, human rights, and other political and legal issues. He also worked as a consultant to various UN Agencies in Lebanon. Mr. Baroud is a graduate of College Saint Joseph, Mr. Baroud acquired his master’s degree in Law from Saint-Joseph University of Beirut in 1992 and pursued his doctoral studies in Paris.

Mr. Romen Mathieu is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the EuroMena Funds, covering the Middle East and Africa and regulated under the AIFM directive in Malta (EU). He is also a proud Board member of the International Chamber of Commerce Lebanon, and an active member of eminent organizations supporting SMEs, entrepreneurship programs and corporate governance initiatives across the region. Armed with more than 20 years of experience in corporate transactions and family owned businesses, covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Mr. Romen Mathieu also chairs and/or sits on the board of several companies in a diverse range of sectors and countries. Previously, Mr. Romen Mathieu was a Partner of Ernst &Young Corporate Finance and M&A in France. Prior to that, he worked with Lazard frères in M&A. He kick-started his career with Arthur Andersen, in its corporate restructuring and finance division in France. Mr. Romen Mathieu holds two graduate degrees in Finance and a Master’s degree in Management from the Sorbonne University. Among the multitude of functions he holds today, he is the Chairman of Khoury Home SAL, Chairman of ITWorx ltd, and the Vice-Chairman of Al Oyoun Al Dawli Hospital. Furthermore, Mr. Romen Mathieu is an Independent Board Member of Chedid Capital Holding SAL, an Independent Advisory Board Member of MAN Entreprises SAL, Board member of First National Bank SAL and a Board member of Sakson Holding SAL.
