What is Travel Insurance?
Travel insurance is a cover which protects you when you travel from your domicile country to another foreign land. The basic cover provided here under are cost of Emergency medical expenses, Repatriation expenses and many more for details, you may refer to your policy plan.

What is the difference between Single-trip and Annual cover?
A single-trip policy covers you only for a specified holiday/ trip, whereas an annual policy will cover you for multiple trips made during the year without having the hassle of getting new policy for every trip and remain covered for all your travel during the year.
Why do I need travel insurance while travelling abroad when I have already medical insurance?
An accident, illness or emergency can happen anywhere. If you need medical care in another country, your provincial medical insurance may pay only a portion of the costs. Travel Insurance which is also containing Medical cover can pay for the eligible Emergency Medical Expenses above and beyond your provincial medical insurance.
When should I buy travel insurance?
It is advisable to purchase a travel insurance straight after you’ve paid the first deposit for your trip. The earlier you purchase, the sooner you have coverage to protect your trip.
Until what age I can buy insurance?
Individuals less than 16 years of age are classified as children while anyone over this age is classified as an adult. The maximum age limit for individual travelers is 75 as per our Policy terms & conditions.
Does travel insurance cover terrorism?
Our Basic plan does not provide Terrorism cover. However, this can be covered if you are purchasing our Worldwide plan subject to additional premium.
Does travel insurance cover Winter Sports or Summer Hazardous sports?
Whilst this is not covered under a standard plan, but you have an optional of purchasing it as add-on cover for an additional premium subject to Policy Terms and conditions.
What is the maximum number of days an annual travel insurance policy covers?
Our Annual Travel Insurance Policy can be purchased to cover individual trips of 92 days per trip. Unlimited trips can be taken during the policy period up to the maximum days purchased per trip.
What is the definition of family under a family policy?
On our Single Trip / Annual Multi Trip travel insurance policies a family is defined as 2 adults and up to 4 named children (Child age limit is 16 years) at the date of booking the travel insurance.
What is a deductible?
It is the first amount of the loss that has to be borne by you.
Where can I buy travel insurance?
You can purchase Seib Travel insurance on our website / Mobile Application. Alternatively, you may visit our office located at Old Airport Road, Doha to purchase a policy.
Will I receive documentation of my policy to carry with me?
Yes, you will receive applicable plan documents, or Policy via e-mail. The Confirmation of Coverage will include policy information such as your policy number(unique), policy effective date, benefit levels and important contact information. The Description of Coverage or Policy will provide the detail of the plan including benefits, conditions, limitations and exclusions.

What is the procedure for recording any changes in the policy?
If you need to change anything on your policy, please contact us at +974 4402 68888 during operating hours between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm, Sunday to Thursday (excluding Public Holidays) to issue an amendment to the Policy.
I have lost the insurance policy. Can I get a duplicate one?
Yes – we can provide you with duplicate copy of your policy for a nominal Fee of QR 10
Can I cancel my Travel insurance policy? Will I get a refund of premium if I cancel my policy?
Yes, if your trip has not started and you have not made any claims then you can cancel your policy for Annual policies/covers, you need to give 30 days written notice to Seib. Provided You have not made a claim, a pro rata premium will be calculated, and the remainder amount will be refunded.
How to make a claim while you are travelling?
• Remember to take your travel insurance policy number and emergency contact telephone number (24/7-Helpline)
• If a problem happens while you’re away, keep receipts for everything you need to support your claim
• Report lost or stolen belongings to the local police within 24 hours of them going missing.
